FAQs

Do you lend the money yourself?

We do not lend our own money. We have an extensive range of personal lending product providers, meaning we can find the most suitable loan to fit you and your situation. There’s no need for you to approach a variety of lenders and tell your story five different times. Plus, by us having a pool of lenders to talk to, your chances of approval are higher.

Is there a limit to how much I can borrow?

Yes there will be. It depends on your individual financial circumstances and we can work this out when you make your application and advise you the maximum amount that you can borrow. It may be higher than you think.

How much financial information do I need to provide you?

In our application form we ask a few different financial questions. Once we have this and it looks like we can help you out, we usually ask for you to send us a copy of your identification and two months bank statements. Sometimes other information is required and it depends totally on your financial profile and what type of loan you want.

Will I need to provide security to take out a loan?

It all depends on how much you are wanting to borrow, the purpose as well as your own financial circumstances. Sometimes security is needed, other times we can source you an unsecured loan. Once we have all your information and have spoken with our lenders we will be able to advise if security or a guarantor is needed.

How old do you have to be to take out a loan?

18 years.

Do I need a guarantor if I’m under 21 years old?

It all depends on how much you want to borrow as well as your personal details. The best thing to do is to fill out an application or give us a call and we can let you know if a guarantor is required for your situation.

If I’m using my car as security, how old can it be?

Typically it is preferred if your car is no older than 12 years. However we do have some lenders that consider classic cars as well as some that look at current market value regardless of year.

Am I able to repay my loan early?

Yes you can. Most of our lenders do not charge an interest penalty for early repayment.

How long does it take to get a loan?

The process starts once we have all the information from you that we need to make a loan application. It can vary depending on the nature of the loan but we always aim to get it done as quickly as possible.

Who pays my debts if I take out a debt consolidation loan?

Most of the time your debts are paid directly by the loan company to those to whom the debt is owed. Any remaining balance is then put into your account.

Can I have the repayments come out on a specific date?

Yes many lenders will let you work this in with the date you get paid which can make budgeting that much easier.
